The American has racked up an impressive 82 World Cup victories in total. The top skier in the world, and most successful American racer in ski racing has announced her retirement following this year's World Championship in Sweden. The onset of a series of health issues caused the multiple World Cup Overall Champion to make the decision to retire. Her announcement was made via social media.
